Application Software Engineer 1

As an Application Software Engineer 1, you will work in the software engineering division using basic to intermediate knowledge of software architecture. You will develop, debug, and enhance software applications according to design specifications, primarily focusing on reporting, data processing, and supporting existing systems.

• Make enhancements to existing software applications
• Develop and design new reports, including data fetching through SQL, data processing, and data representation
• Gather requirements, understand project scope, create work estimates, and execute tasks
• Handle client calls and collaborate with stakeholders
• Participate in component-level technical design discussions
• Perform debugging and document root cause analysis
• Identify and suggest process improvements
• Provide support for software releases
• Gain understanding of healthcare workflows and the Millennium data model

• SQL and PL/SQL
• Database Management Systems
• Programming (Python, Java, C++ or similar)
• Debugging and Version Control (Git)
• Unit Testing and Data Analysis
• Problem-solving, Collaboration, Communication
• Good to have: BI Tools (Tableau, Business Objects), CCL, Healthcare Workflow knowledge

• 0 to 2+ years of experience
• Bachelor’s Degree or above in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, Computer Applications, IT, or related field
• Strong foundation in programming and databases
• Willingness to work standard shifts (9 AM – 6 PM) and additional hours as needed
