ROLE SUMMARY
Halliburton (Landmark) is hiring Associate Software Engineers in Bengaluru for early-career talent (new graduates as well as engineers with up to 5 years of experience). You will join a delivery team, write production code immediately, and build software used daily by oil and gas operators for critical decisions across geoscience, drilling, reservoir, production, and cloud/platform domains.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Build, test, and ship features for products used by energy companies worldwide
- Debug and fix defects in production systems under real conditions
- Write and maintain automated tests as part of the delivery workflow
- Participate in code reviews (give and receive feedback)
- Follow secure coding practices and triage security issues
- Contribute to technical documentation
- Work effectively in a distributed team across time zones
- Research and evaluate open-source tools and libraries
- Grow domain knowledge through hands-on work
SKILLS REQUIRED
- Working knowledge of at least one modern programming language (Java, C#, F#, C++, Python, TypeScript)
- Familiarity with standard development tooling (version control, build systems, testing frameworks)
- Preferred: Experience with shared codebases, cloud platforms (Azure/AWS), web development, data systems, CI/CD, Docker/Kubernetes
- Strong technical curiosity and willingness to learn
- Clear communication skills
ELIGIBILITY
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related discipline (or equivalent experience)
- Open to new graduates as well as candidates with up to 5 years of experience
- Hybrid role — required to attend the Bengaluru office as needed
- Energy industry experience is a plus but not required
