Forward Deployed Engineer Intern

Thinkly AI is a startup building AI-powered solutions for enterprise clients, with a focus on AI voice agents and real-estate applications. Interns work directly with production systems and enterprise clients from the beginning of the internship.

The Forward Deployed Engineer Intern will work closely with clients to debug and tune live AI voice agents, ship fixes and features, and build demos for prospects. The role combines software engineering, prompt engineering, AI-agent development, and hands-on production debugging.

• Debug and tune AI voice agents running on live client calls.
• Ship small fixes and features into the production application.
• Build demos for prospective enterprise clients.
• Write and iterate on prompts for AI systems.
• Investigate production issues and feed learnings back into the product.
• Work directly with enterprise clients and real-world AI deployments.
• Maintain and improve production systems.

• Ability to write production-quality code.
• Understanding of prompting as an engineering discipline.
• Knowledge of Next.js.
• Knowledge of FastAPI and PostgreSQL.
• Understanding of vector database setup.
• Experience working with LLM APIs and AI pipelines.
• Familiarity with LangChain/LlamaIndex, N8N, or voice APIs.
• Strong debugging and problem-solving skills.

• Open to candidates applying for an internship.
• Must be able to commit 8 hours daily, Monday-Saturday, during the internship.
• Must be able to join in the first week of September.
• Candidates are asked to provide GitHub, LinkedIn, and a deployed project or relevant repository.
• Candidates should be able to demonstrate practical coding, LLM API, prompting, and debugging experience.
