ROLE SUMMARY
Quest Global is hiring a Software Engineer - Java Microservices in Thiruvananthapuram for the Medical Devices domain. The role involves designing and developing applications using Core Java/Swing, building SPA applications with Angular/React, and contributing to new features, bug fixes, and enhancements on enterprise applications.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Design and develop applications using Core Java/Swing for Medical Devices domain
- Design and develop SPA applications using Angular and React
- Understand and work with existing enterprise application architecture (Core Java/Swing, C++, Perl, Python components)
- Take ownership of new feature implementations, bug fixes, and enhancement activities
- Communicate technically with internal and external stakeholders
- Deliver cost-effective and sustainable solutions
SKILLS REQUIRED
- 1-3 years of experience in design and development of software applications and frameworks
- Strong experience in developing Linux/Unix based desktop applications using Core Java
- Strong experience in UI development using Java Swing
- Experience in Spring/Spring Boot
- Hands-on experience in Angular, HTML, CSS, and JavaScript
- Deep knowledge of Object-Oriented concepts in Java
- Unit testing experience using JUnit or similar
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and debugging skills
- Knowledge of software design patterns and UML
- Experience in Medical Devices domain (CT, XR, MR, DICOM preferred)
- Hands-on experience in RDBMS and SQL
- Excellent communication skills
ELIGIBILITY
- 1-3 years of relevant experience
- Strong foundation in Core Java and related technologies
- Preferred: Medical Device development experience
- Location: Thiruvananthapuram, Kerala
