Full Stack Engineer

Potpie is building the foundation layer for spec-driven development in large, complex codebases. The company focuses on making software systems understandable, debuggable, and operable through structured context and AI agents. It is rethinking how software systems are built, evolved, and scaled, with real demand from enterprise customers including F500s.

Potpie is looking for a Full Stack Developer who can think in systems and build end-to-end products with clarity and ownership. This is not a task-driven role — you will take ideas, shape them into products, and iterate quickly based on real usage while working at the intersection of AI and real-world software systems.

• Build and ship end-to-end features across frontend and backend
• Design scalable APIs and services that power AI-driven workflows
• Work closely with research and product teams to translate ideas into usable systems
• Own performance, reliability, and developer experience of the product
• Experiment rapidly and iterate based on feedback
• Contribute to architectural decisions as the system evolves
• Write clean, maintainable, and well-documented code

• Strong fundamentals in computer science and system design
• Experience building full stack applications (frontend + backend)
• Ability to move fast from idea to production
• Comfort working in ambiguity and taking ownership
• Good communication and collaboration skills
• Tech stack (indicative): React/Next.js, Node.js/Python/Java/C/C++, PostgreSQL, Redis, AWS/GCP
• Bonus: Developer tools experience, AI/ML or LLM integrations, large-scale codebases, open source contributions

• Strong CS fundamentals and full-stack experience
• Ability to take ownership and work in a fast-paced startup environment
