Associate Front-end Engineer — AI Product

Goonj AI is an early-stage, stealth-mode AI product company building a voice-first conversational platform for young professionals from diverse backgrounds. The stack includes React/React Native, TypeScript, Python backends, AWS, and voice AI. The team is small and the work moves fast.

Goonj AI is hiring an Associate Frontend Engineer for its AI Product. This is a build-and-own role based in Lucknow. You will start by integrating vendor-delivered designs and components, then grow into broader front-end ownership of the mobile app, website, and AI-assisted creative work (including ad creation).

• Integrate React Native work from UI/UX vendors into the live mobile app and wire components to backend APIs (REST and WebSocket)
• Translate Figma/design specs into working, responsive, production-quality screens
• Make day-to-day UI changes, bug fixes, polish, and performance improvements across mobile app and website
• Build and maintain reusable component patterns
• Own front-end performance (profiling, bundle size, lazy loading)
• Own front-end changes to the marketing website and use AI tools for creative assets including ad creation
• Work directly with the founder and communicate technical trade-offs clearly

• 1+ year of professional experience building front-end software
• Strong in React (components, hooks, state management, routing, async data flows)
• Comfortable with JavaScript/TypeScript, modern CSS (Tailwind/Sass), and responsive design
• Hands-on REST API integration and proper handling of loading/error/empty states
• Solid debugging and profiling skills; readable, maintainable code
• Comfortable with Git/GitHub and Agile environments
• Preferred: React Native experience, Figma handoffs, AI tools/LLM APIs, WebSocket, basic AWS

• 1+ year of professional front-end experience
• Strong React and JavaScript/TypeScript skills
• Location: Lucknow (in-person)
• Willingness to ramp into React Native and take ownership of the full UI surface
