Full Stack Engineer

MIRA Labs is building an AI-powered mortgage technology platform designed to simplify and modernize operations across the loan lifecycle. Its platform helps lenders, mortgage brokers, loan officers, processors, and borrowers automate complex workflows, improve decision-making, and reduce manual effort.

The Full Stack Engineer will build end-to-end product capabilities across MIRA's borrower-facing and enterprise applications using React, TypeScript, Python, and FastAPI. The role covers frontend interfaces, backend APIs, database workflows, integrations, authentication, real-time functionality, testing, deployment, and production support.

• Design and develop end-to-end product features using React, TypeScript, Python, and FastAPI.
• Build responsive, reusable, accessible, and maintainable frontend components.
• Develop scalable backend services and REST APIs.
• Build secure multi-tenant functionality with strong organization-level data isolation.
• Implement authentication, authorization, RBAC, and permission-driven user experiences.
• Design and maintain PostgreSQL database models, migrations, relationships, and queries.
• Build complex forms, validation workflows, document-management experiences, dashboards, and workflow-driven interfaces.
• Manage frontend state and API caching using Redux Toolkit, RTK Query, or comparable technologies.
• Develop background-processing workflows using Redis, Celery, queues, or similar technologies.
• Integrate identity providers, document-processing platforms, mortgage systems, AI services, and third-party APIs.
• Develop webhooks, real-time notifications, WebSocket functionality, and event-driven workflows.
• Implement logging, monitoring, error handling, and observability.
• Write unit, component, integration, API, and end-to-end tests.
• Review code, participate in architecture discussions, and troubleshoot production issues.
• Collaborate with product, design, AI, QA, DevOps, and business teams.

• 5+ years of professional software-development experience.
• At least 3 years of hands-on full-stack development experience.
• Strong experience with React and TypeScript.
• Strong experience with Python and a modern backend framework, preferably FastAPI.
• Experience designing and consuming RESTful APIs.
• Strong knowledge of JavaScript, HTML, CSS, responsive design, and browser behavior.
• Experience with Redux Toolkit, RTK Query, React Query, or similar state-management technologies.
• Experience with PostgreSQL or another relational database.
• Experience with SQLAlchemy, Alembic, or comparable ORM and migration technologies.
• Understanding of database design, transactions, indexing, and query optimization.
• Experience implementing authentication, authorization, RBAC, and secure application workflows.
• Experience with Git, pull requests, branching strategies, and code reviews.
• Experience writing automated frontend and backend tests.
• Experience building or supporting cloud-hosted production systems.
• Strong debugging, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to independently own features from design through deployment.
• Willingness to work according to U.S. Central Time business hours.

• Minimum 5 years of professional software-development experience.
• At least 3 years of hands-on full-stack development experience.
• Strong experience with React, TypeScript, Python, and FastAPI.
• Candidates must be willing to work fully in-office in Pune.
• Willingness to work U.S. Central Time business hours, which corresponds to an evening/night shift in India.
• Relocation to Pune is allowed.
