Software Development Engineer (SDE-1)

Certa is hiring for Software Development Engineer (SDE-1 / entry-level Software Engineer) roles in a fully remote setup. Engineers work on scalable SaaS products for third-party lifecycle management, building features across backend, frontend, integrations, and quality engineering in a high-ownership, engineering-first culture.

• Design and develop scalable applications and APIs
• Build and maintain backend services (Python/Django stack commonly used)
• Contribute to frontend applications using React and TypeScript
• Work on integrations, webhooks, and event-driven systems
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams in an Agile remote environment
• Write clean, maintainable code and participate in code reviews
• Debug, optimize performance, and improve system reliability

• Strong fundamentals in programming (Python, JavaScript/TypeScript preferred)
• Understanding of databases, APIs, and backend systems
• Familiarity with React, Django, PostgreSQL, or similar technologies
• Problem-solving and analytical skills
• Ability to work independently in a remote, high-ownership environment
• Experience with cloud (AWS) or CI/CD is a plus

• 0–2 years of experience (SDE-1 / Junior level)
• B.E / B.Tech / equivalent in Computer Science or related field
• Fully remote (India preferred / IST timezone friendly)
