Software Development Engineer (Fresher / MTS1)

This is an entry-level / fresher Software Development Engineer (Member of Technical Staff 1) role for new college graduates. You will join engineering teams working on distributed systems, virtualization, storage, or cloud infrastructure, contributing to production-scale software while receiving mentorship and hands-on learning opportunities.

• Design, develop, and maintain software features for Nutanix products (e.g., AHV hypervisor, distributed systems, storage, or cloud services)
• Write clean, efficient, and enterprise-quality code
• Participate in code reviews, testing, and debugging
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including product, support, and other engineering groups
• Learn and apply best practices in distributed systems, Linux, and cloud technologies
• Contribute to solving real-world infrastructure challenges at scale

• Strong programming ability in Python, Golang, C/C++, or similar
• Solid understanding of data structures, algorithms, and software design principles
• Familiarity with distributed systems, Linux/Unix, and networking concepts
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field
• Passion for problem-solving and building scalable systems
• Good communication and collaboration skills
