ROLE SUMMARY
This is a 12-month Technical Graduate Apprentice / Software Engineer Trainee role under Cisco’s India University Hiring (UHR) program in Bengaluru. Designed for 2025/2026 graduates, it provides hands-on experience in software engineering, testing, or related technical areas while building foundational skills in a global technology company.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Assist in software development, testing, or engineering support activities
- Participate in projects under mentorship of experienced engineers
- Complete mandatory certifications and apprenticeship projects
- Support team operations and contribute to service delivery frameworks
- Learn and apply engineering best practices in a real-world environment
- Act as backup support in assigned areas during the program
SKILLS REQUIRED
- Basic knowledge of MS Office tools
- Good communication skills (verbal and written English)
- Passion and desire to learn with a “Can do” attitude
- Proactive engagement, solutions-seeking mindset, and team player
- Basic programming or technical fundamentals preferred
- Enrollment on NATS portal (https://nats.education.gov.in/) with valid student enrolment number
ELIGIBILITY
- Completed bachelor’s degree (BCA, B.Tech, BE or related field)
- Graduated in 2025/2026 with Provisional Degree Certificate
- Must be available for 12 months starting September 2026
- Full-time, On-site in Bengaluru
