ROLE SUMMARY
As a Software Development Engineer I at JioStar, you will build a world-class content viewing experience by solving complex technical problems and developing systems that run at enormous scale. The role focuses on designing and delivering high-quality distributed applications for the JioHotstar website and TV apps while maintaining high operational excellence.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Own and deliver end-to-end features with high performance, accessibility, and cross-browser compatibility
- Design and develop high-quality distributed applications
- Collaborate with product and engineering teams to deliver new user-facing features
- Ensure technical feasibility of UI/UX designs and implement them
- Maintain high operational excellence for seamless customer experience
- Work on systems that scale to millions of users
SKILLS REQUIRED
- Hands-on experience with JavaScript (preferred for frontend focus)
- Proficiency in code versioning tools like Git
- Familiarity with front-end build tools (Grunt, Gulp, etc.)
- Strong problem-solving and coding skills
- Understanding of distributed systems and scalable applications
- Good communication and teamwork abilities
ELIGIBILITY
- 0–2 years of professional experience
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science or a related field
- Freshers and early-career developers welcome
- Location: Bengaluru (Onsite)
