Headout is looking for a Software Engineer - Apps to build and improve features on their mobile app. You will work closely with product managers, designers, and data teams to create end-to-end features that impact thousands of global users using a modern tech stack.

• Build end-to-end features that directly impact thousands of users
• Develop cutting-edge mobile experiences with React Native, TypeScript, and native iOS/Android integrations
• Gain exposure to the full engineering lifecycle — from system design to refining user experience and app speed
• Collaborate with product, design, and data teams
• Learn from experienced engineers and grow into a senior role over time

• 6+ months of experience building mobile apps, ideally using React Native
• Good working knowledge of JavaScript/TypeScript
• Familiarity with app architectures and platform-specific guidelines
• Exposure to native development (iOS or Android) and native module integration
• Understanding of state management libraries (like Jotai or similar)
• Basic understanding of responsive UI and app performance optimization
• Familiarity with offline-first storage techniques
• Curiosity, willingness to learn, and strong collaboration skills

• 6+ months of relevant experience preferred
• Strong interest in mobile app development
• Ability to take ownership of small features and deliver independently is a plus
• Contributions to open-source or personal side projects are a bonus
